Internal flag (1J01) that can be used to log high processor board temperature and to generate alarms;

Internal flag (1P02) that can be used to log MAC +12Vdc power supply failure and to generate alarms;

The MAC can now send a test e-mail (in VT-100 mode only);

It is now possible to transfer logs when they are between 50% and 90% full and not only at pre-fixed dates or times;

The "View Information" screen displays users currently online with the unit;

128-bit encrypted IP communications (LAN, WAN, Internet) now integrated on all models;

Dual-modem ready (primary link over landline, and backup using GSM for example);
Simultaneous, multi-user connection to MAC units (up to 4 users);
Bilingual capability. Each user can select the language for vocal interfacing and screen viewing;
Increased number of timers (128) allowing users to easily program AM day/night pattern changes, to set up multiple alarm-call lists during normal-duty, vacations, special-occasions, etc. ;
16 alarm lists for event-based or time-based alarms;
Number of virtual logic gates doubled to 128 allowing users to program more conditional actions and complex logic functions;
All relays are included and are individually software configurable for latch, follow, and variable-length pulse modes, to better match equipment control requirements;
Number of virtual relays doubled to 128 allowing users to set up additional relay command actions without using actual physical relays;

MacComm software version 5.30

Included with all purchases of MAC units;
Version number synchronized with MacNet version number;  NEW!
Adapted to successfully pass the "Microsoft Windows 7 Software Logo Certification Test;  NEW!
Workspaces can now be password-protected and locked to restrict access and editing. This allows supervisors to precisely control the buttons and outputs on a MacComm screen that are accessible by operator-level users.  If desired, operators are therefore limited in the commands they can execute and the workspaces thay can use.  If the Protected mode option is enabled, any older workspaces and access modes are prohibited. Operators MUST log-on to MacComm for any type of access;  NEW!
Option to force Stay Connected mode by IP.  MacComm's Stay-connected mode is now configurable in the option screen. If this option is enabled, then MacComm will always automatically re-connect after its one hour timeout. This allows PC's that access MacComm as part of an autostart sequence (after a power failure for example) to keep the Stay-Connected feature. It also allows users who program MacComm as a desktop icon to start it up with the Stay-Connected feature active;  NEW!
USB to Serial support. MacComm now allows selection and configuration of the USB to Serial adapters supported by MACs with Firmware 5.30;  NEW!
EAS Log support. MacComm now allows configuration of the EAS logging functions supported by MACs with Firmware 5.30;  NEW!
MacComm now supports the newly released 4.30 firmware for use with legacy MAC+ and MiniMAC+ units;  NEW!
Support for USB Modems. MacComm now allows configuration of the USB modems supported by MACs with Firmware version 5.30;  NEW!
Support for USB Storage. MacComm now allows selection of USB storage devices. This feature is reserved for future use;  NEW!
User-configurable refresh rate. MacComm now has an option to allow users to configure the rate at which the information from the MACs is refreshed. This can be set to any period between 2 and 60 seconds. This option is particularly useful when transmission costs per byte of data are very expensive;  NEW!
Streaming Audio over IP is now supported;
The IP Parameters screen now allows configuration of the WEB and SNMP settings of the MAC;
The System and Custom logs now both have refresh buttons;
MacComm now has an "undo/redo" function for edition of Workspaces;
MacComm now has a Configuration Wizard to help users set-up their MAC unit.  It is located in the Help drop-down list;
MacComm 5.30 supports all the new features and changes implemented in MAC2 Firmware 5.30;
It is now possible to export MacComm 5 workspaces in MacComm 4.20 file format;
With the Auxiliary (or reach-through) Serial Port Access, it is now possible to use same serial port as MacComm;
It is now possible to disable hardware flow control when using the Auxiliary (or reach-through) Serial Port Access through a virtual port;
When you enter a description in the Default field and the Alternate field is empty, MacComm automatically copies the Default description into the Alternate field (Note: The Alternate field is truncated to 18 characters);
The SETUPX function has been added to MacComm.  It allows users to re-enter a software authorisation key (to activate enhanced features for example) without having to re-install MacComm from scratch;
MacComm now has a separate language module for each operating language, including English;

The Metering Math Functions now have a Base 10 Logarithm operator;
