Bilingual Voice & Screen Capability
Bilingual Voice Capability
Davicom units use a high quality pre-recorded voice response system when communications take place over the phone or vocal pager. The primary language is English for the pre-defined system messages ("Please enter your password", "Minor alarm", etc.), and your local dealer can record the same messages in the alternate language of your choice.
Each unit can have a different alternate language. This is particularly useful to international broadcasters wishing to allow Davicom units to speak the local language when they call local staff. Each Davicom user can select the English or alternate language for the voice response system.
Davicom units can also speak user-defined phrases based on a 400-term vocal vocabulary. The complete alphabet, digits, tens and over 350 useful words are already preloaded in English. Your local dealer can translate those 400 terms in an alternate language. Customer-defined descriptive phrases can even be recorded, allowing Davicom units to speak in very precise terms ("High VSWR on main 2kW Eddystone Transmitter", "Unauthorized entry in Sears tower rack room", etc.). Each customer-defined phrase can be recorded in one or two languages of your choice.
Bilingual Screen Capability
The new DavLink version 5 communications software now supports the Unicode character sets. Standard monitoring & control screens are provided in English, but you can replicate them in practically any language.

Users can also create their own personalized screens containing the information required in the language of their choice. These screens can differ from one site to another in order to reflect the exact setup of the site equipment. Each screen is password-protected, and can include diagrams and even pictures. EXAMPLE »
