More Davicom Remote Site Monitoring systems to Environment Canada

Davicom announces the delivery in 2011 of 30 more MiniMAC2 Transmitter Remote Control Systems to Environment Canada’s Weatheradio service.

Environment Canada's Weatheradio network is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting weather and environmental information 24 hours a day in both official languages. The information emanates directly from Environment Canada's storm prediction centers.

The MiniMAC2 units are being used to remotely monitor, control and receive alarms from the radio transmitters used at the Weatheradio sites. The acquisition of such a large number of MiniMAC2 units will allow the Weatheradio service to ensure reliable operations and to reduce downtime and repair costs when a problem occurs at one of their 183 remote transmission sites.
