Remote Site Monitoring Applications
with a Davicom MAC System
PATTERN CHANGE: AM Pattern changes using the MAC unit's built in timers |

TOWER LIGHTS: Turn on/off tower lights using built-in timers or programming the latitude and longitude of the site for local sunrise and sunset calculations or validate that tower lights are between sunset and sunrise |

PING: Ping an IP link with an external device such as a wireless router or any other device and automatically reset these devices |
PING: Check phone line for dial-tone presence every 15 minutes |
GENERATOR: Automatically starts a generator when the power is down without human intervention |
GENERATOR: Automatically perform a generator test by using the MAC unit built in timers (preventive maintenance) |
TRANSMITTER: Start automatically a back-up transmitter when the main transmitter is down without human intervention |
TRANSMITTER: Automatically start-up a remote back-up transmitter (requires IP access and 2 MAC units) |
MONITOR/CONTROL VARIOUS PARAMETERS: Allow remote monitoring of conditions at the site such as humidity, power, indoor and outdoor temperature, door entry, VSWR, and more |
TWO-WAY RADIO: Time-out stuck mikes or repeater Push-To-Talk (PTT) through activity monitoring on status inputs |
TWO-WAY RADIO: RS-232 reach-through ports to configure on-site equipment such as two-way radios, EAS systems, etc |
INDOOR TEMPERATURE: Automatically starts a heater when indoor temperature goes below limits without human intervention |
INDOOR TEMPERATURE: Automatically starts an air conditioning unit when indoor temperature goes above limits without human intervention |
| DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER (DVR) SUPPORT : A DVR connects to the site's IP router/switch in parallel with the MAC. DVR's having video motion detection capability are then connected to one of the MAC's Status Inputs. If motion is detected, the MAC can send alarms by one of many means such as E-mail, SMS, telephone, cell phone, fax... |

ANTENNA: Automatically turn on an antenna heating unit if the VSWR increases and the outside temperature is below freezing and the relative humidity is high (freezing rain)
