The MAC IP Module allows instant local or worldwide 128-bit encrypted IP communications with MAC units through any Ethernet connection (Internet, WAN or LAN).

 

MAC units equipped with the optional IP module are able to send alarm messages by e-mail and SNMP traps. Moreover, MAC units and other equipment at the site can be controlled and monitored across any network or the Internet.

 

Newer MAC+ and MiniMAC+ units are IP capable, and only require you to mount the optional IP module on its dedicated sockets.

 

For older MAC units, the processor board, communications board, MAC Firmware or MacComm software might have to be replaced, as well as the chassis to accommodate the RJ-45 connector on the IP module.
